This construction project involves the development of two new stone villas with a total of 373sq.m. located on a plot of land in the Gerani area, situated in the northern part of the Rethymno prefecture.
A spacious two-storey villa with panoramic sea views property will be built on a hill and will enjoy the stunning coastal views of western Rethymno and the Eastern part of Chania . This residence is designed to serve the needs of six people simultaneously, providing to them in parallel comfort and autonomy. The panoramic view of the southern coast of Crete, the small size and shape of the plot were components that determined the architectural result.
At the edge of a village in South Crete we designed a modern villa facing the Libyan sea. The building is designed to adapt on the natural ground and the shape of the property, but also preserves the nice sea views to the South Coast.

The residence of 225 sq.m. designed to serve the needs of up to 10 people at a time. It includes an open plan living room, kitchen and dining room, five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and utility rooms.
The building’s structure follows the terrain. It develops on two levels with the first floor is established at the highest level, from where the users can enjoy the views to the northern coast of Crete.
The management of the particular features of this region has been a challenge for the architectural design. The virgin landscape with the panoramic view of the Libyan Sea and the “Paximadia” islands presents a bluntness geographical texture.
A residence and three studios are designed at an almost flat plot of land that, where the floor level overlooks the northern Crete coasts. The cubic geometry had a dominant role in the architectural design and influenced both the floor plans and the facades of the buildings.

The south-western orientation, the sloping terrain of the plot, the view to the sea and the strong, mainly western, winds of the area were key factors in the design process.
