Modern holiday complex in Agia Galini - South Crete

A residence and a studio were the design subject on a plot with intense geographical terrain and views of the Agia Galini’s coasts.The central idea at the design was the cubic geometry, which affected both the floor plans and the volumes formation. Each cube is characterized by clear boundaries and functional signification.

The residence is designed on two levels. On the ground floor is located the studio and a shared semi-outdoor area, which communicates with the pool area. Upstairs is the main house that is connected with the ground floor through a staircase that ends at the semi-outdoor area.

The included interior spaces in the house residence are an open plan area for the living room, kitchen and dining room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The studio consists of an open plan space for the bed and the kitchen and a bathroom.

Clear forms, different levels, large openings and partially or totally covered areas shape the facades of the architectural structure in a spirit of minimalism.
